Welcome to the cbcKids page!

Whether you are a parent looking for information, or a church member who is praying about joining our serve team, it is such a joy to partner with you in the lives of our kids! Someone once told me to begin with the end in mind. Our end desire is that every child in our church would know Jesus and put their faith in him as their Lord and Savior. That means everything we do is centered around this. Whether it’s rocking an infant, sharing a Bible story with a kindergartener, or listening to the prayer requests of a 5th grader, we want these kids to see and know Jesus. Our cbcKids team steps into each Sunday morning knowing that our small weekly deposits matter.

Parents, you have been given the incredible privilege of teaching your kids to know and follow Jesus, and we want to come alongside you in the discipleship of your children. Our desire is to join you in showing them with our words and actions that they are loved and pursued by a loving God who sent his own Son to die so that they could become his sons and daughters.

Each week in our cbcKids classes, we spend time worshiping together, playing games, and teaching kids Bible stories that all point back to the Good News of Jesus. We also try hard to create spaces where kids can form relationships with their peers and with leaders who know their names and what is happening in their lives. We believe that this foundation of Biblical teaching within the context of Christ-centered relationships provides a safe place for children to learn and grow in their faith and their love for Christ and his Word.

FAQ's

When does cbcKids meet?   cbcKids meets during both our 9:00 and 10:30 services. Just drop your kids off before the service and pick them up after it's finished!

What age group is cbcKids?   We serve kids from 6 weeks through 5th grade.

First time in cbcKids?    When you walk into the foyer, to the right we have check-in computers. You can tell one of the volunteers with the lanyards that it's your first time, and they will help you get registered. If you have never signed your child(ren) up for cbcKids, please fill out this form to get your family's information in the system to make check-in easier on Sunday morning!

  • Nursery to 1st grade: You will drop your child(ren) off in their classroom. When the service is over, you will show their teacher the number on your pick-up tag in order to check them out of their class!
  • 2nd grade to 5th grade: Your child(ren) will join you for worship and will be dismissed afterwards to the Wetlands Center building. Their teachers and security will walk them over.  When the service is over, you will pick them up at the Wetlands Center using the number on your pick-up tag!

What happens in the cbcKids classroom?    Each grade level looks a little bit different, of course, but the basics are the same. They will spend some time singing worship songs together, hear teaching from the Gospel Project Curriculum, do an activity related to the Bible lesson of that week, and then play some games together.

What do you do to keep kids safe?    The safety of your children is our priority. You are entrusting them to us for an hour, and we will honor that trust. There is so much that goes into safety, but there are three big ways we protect kids. First, we diligently vet every teacher with interviews, background checks, and calling references. Second, we have hall monitors who are constantly checking on classrooms and we do not allow teachers to be alone with kids. Third, we have security and emergency processes to protect each of our kids. If you have any specific questions about safety, please do not hesitate to email Jennifer Daniel here.

Why cbcKids?    cbcKids exists to build a gospel centered foundation through Biblical teaching and relationships that will equip CBC families to impact their communities and be the church.
